Well, we know it's a little early, but we thought that we would take advantage of a great opportunity that presented itself through my work, and we've gone on a Babymoon! I am spending a week in San Diego and a week in Honolulu for work, and Damian met me for the weekend in San Diego and then came with me to Honolulu. Needless to say, I'm a little jealous while he's sitting on the beach drinking a mai tai and I'm in an office, but we're really enjoying our time during the evenings. I'm sure I don't need to be out in the sun anyway, and he's getting to eat all of the seafood he likes while I'm not around him (I've developed a terrible seafood aversion that hasn't gone away yet)!

In San Diego, we explored Old Town, Hillcrest, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and the Gas Lamp District, and we spent the day at the San Diego Zoo. It's such a beautiful city with so much to offer - we had a really great time. Picture below is on the beaches of La Jolla - baby bump is definitely getting bigger!

I'll post some pics from Honolulu next week sometime, once I adjust from the jet lag!! And yes, I've been buying our baby girl cute outfits and fun stuff at each place - she's technically on this trip too!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...

It's official folks! We're having a baby GIRL!!!!! Damian and I both had a strong feeling that we were having a little much for mother's intuition! I couldn't be more excited about it! I can't wait to start buying all of the fun girly stuff - ribbons, bows, tu-tus, and anything pink!

When I was getting the sonogram, the nurse couldn't get a good shot because the baby had her legs really close together. She finally moved around a bit and we were able to get the difinitive view. I jokingly said later "Let's just hope that she keeps her little legs like that the rest of her life!" Damian was quiet for a second, then under his breath he said "Looks like I need to buy more guns...." Hahaha! He's going to be wrapped around that little girl's finger before he knows it. He said that she will still know how to rebuild a go-kart engine and work on a lawn mower. And she'll know the best place to go for her manicure after that too! Our little renaissance woman.....

Our doctor (Dr. Dullye at Dallas Presbyterian - love her!) said that she is growing well - her heart and brain both look good. My due date is still December 31st - the accountant in Damian is hoping that she's here before the end of the year for the tax deduction! Here are two cute pics of our baby girl. I think she has a beautiful face!

Belly Pics

Here's my belly pic from this morning (4.5 months along). I really can't wait until I start looking more "pregnant" and less "I ate too much pasta"! :)

Still haven't felt the baby move yet - hoping that I should any day now!

I'm luckily out of Texas for the majority of August, and therefore out of this rediculous heat! I'll be spending a week in Wisconsin, a week in San Diego, and a week in Honolulu. I know - I have a really rough job..... I'm honestly just trying to cram this round of travel in before my Dr. says that I need to stay close to home.
